Restart the Bot Without Forgetting Open Risk
A production bot must survive process restarts, server reboots and temporary API failures without losing knowledge of positions, daily risk or pending orders. This requirement is an FX Nova Bot engineering extension beyond the book's trading methodology.
Architecture principle
Critical state includes strategy version, open positions, pending orders, protective stops, daily realized loss, current risk allocation and last processed market or execution event.
On startup the bot should enter RECOVERY rather than immediately trading. It reconciles persisted state with broker/exchange reality, repairs discrepancies where safely possible, and only then returns to LIVE permission.
